Welcome to Digital Perspective, the site for Mike Le Gray's photography.
For all the ABI students that were so cool about allowing me to photograph their end of exams celebrations, please head to my Flickr page to see the results. Thanks guys, you were all great!
I would be happy to respond to any enquiries you may have and there are prints for sale in the online store here.
The selection will be changing on a regular basis and you can also see more of my work at

The Technical Bit
For those that are interested, I use a Nikon D80 DSLR. My main lenses are the AF-S Nikkor 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED VR and the AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm 1:3.5-4.5G ED. I also have a Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG Macro and an AF Nikkor 50mm 1:1.8D . I also use the MB-D80 Multi-Power Battery Pack, which doubles as a vertical grip. For a tripod, I rely on the sturdy but light Giottos VT809. Flash requirements are met by the remarkable Nikon Speedlight SB-600.
I shoot in RAW, as it gives you non-destructive control over many potential problem areas with your shots, such as exposure and white balance. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is my preferred software for dealing with my RAW files, whilst Adobe Photoshop is my tool of choice for pretty much everything else.
I do use several other pieces of software as and when required, most notably Tiffen DFX. This is an incredible piece of software, which allows you to emulate most, if not all of the filters available from Tiffen. It also features many other extremely useful options and effects. This really is extremely good value for money and I can't recommend it highly enough. Go to their site and download the trial version to see for yourself.

I also occasionally use Photomatix Pro for generating HDR images. A trial version is available here:
Photomatix Pro
Finally, in conjunction with Photomatix Pro, I sometimes use the LucisArt plug-in for Photoshop. A demo version can be downloaded here:
LucisArt.
I will soon be adding tutorials on how to use some of these tools to create some stunning effects, so why not join the mailing list on the
Contact page to receive notification as these are added?
The site is updated almost daily, so please be sure to check back regularly!
Thank you for visiting!
Mike.
